The managing directors took the oppurtunity to explain its closely related history with the Industry of Chemnitz and the recently completed renovation concept in a subsequent tour of the new house. About 700,000 Euros were invested to redevelop the severely damaged building at the end of the second World War. At this time it had been owned by the Auto Union AG for twelve years. The family of cofounder Hahn was chosen the villa in the Haendelstrass 9 to their residence. Even his sons Carl and Wolfgang Hahn, rooted itself in the automotive industry, could given a new lease of life during the opening ceremonies of the home of their childhood.
